Twin Registry – what should I get ? Do I need everything double?

admin • Mar 25, 2023

I had some Twin moms asking me about the Baby Shower registry. The main question is: do we REALLY need everything double. The answer is NO🙂

This is a postpartum / NEWBORN stage list.

You will need ONE:

Double stroller

Twin carrier or a normal carrier to switch the kiddos

Double pack and play for daytime tummy time in a contained space🙂

Bouncer / swing – babies should not be sitting there for a long period of time & neither sleep there

Baby bath tub, thermometer- shampoo and wash 2in1,

nail clippers

Diaper cream

White noise

Twin nursing pillow if you chose to breastfeeding (and if you are able to of course), although I always liked to tandem nurse one time a day and then juggle solo nursing for some special one on one time

Pump if you chose to express milk + accessories (flanges, milk storage etc)

Double wide rocker – had it (amazon), did not love it… I felt safer tandem nursing on the floor although you might be perfectly fine on your comfy double rocker🙂

Diaper bag or backpack

Nasal aspirator, thermometer, first aid kit

Changing table or pad

Diaper genie

You will need TWO:

Car seats (+mirrors if you drive a lot)

Swaddles/ sleep sacks

Bassinets / Cribs / cradles / rocking cradles (my personal favorite) or in-bed bassinet (love them – you can co-sleep without a fear of smashing your babies😉) + fitted sheets x6

Pacifiers if you choose to use them

You will need a LOT of:

Diapers (disposable or reusable – still you need a lot :P)

Bottles if you chose to bottle feed (pump/formula)

Nursing bras / gowns (they get stinky😀)

4 Towels

Clothes:

8 sleep and plays

10-12 side snap undershirt (for when cord stump is still attached)

20 onesies 4-6 pants

Seasonal outfits (six most)

4 hats

6-10 pairs of socks / booties

Look for clothes that go on easily and you don’t have to pull over their heads.  Especially if these are your first borns it will make quick changes of crying babies way easier.

Try to get things second hand if you are on a budget and put whatever you can towards a good quality stroller and safe car seats that will grow with your babies.

E-mail / text/ facebook message me if you are looking for recommendations of particular brands🙂

You’ve got this, Mama!
